At Irvine Lake Dental Center, we utilize the best methods and equipment in order to provide a safe and sterile environment. Universal precautions protect both our staff and patients.

We believe that our patients should be able to trust our office as a clean environment for all our patients. We believe that you should feel free to discuss this topic with the doctors if needed. The doctors and our entire team follow procedures recommended by different federal agencies.

• Disposable materials
• Sterilization of all equipment before every use
• Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
• Chemical disinfection of patient chair and sink
• Gloves and face masks
• Disinfectant hand soap

We sterilize all reusable equipment through three steps: cidex, biosonic, and our autoclave.  Cidex and biosonic are two chemicals we use before out sterilization process. Our autoclave is a device that eliminates bacteria and viruses through steam, heat and pressure. This autoclave is checked every week to ensure that all of our instruments and equipments are sterilized properly. We must mail in a testing strip of this process every week to sterilization monitoring services
